My kid likes aviators and has been wearing the cheap ones. This XM present will prove whether he can have nice things. Ray Bans definitely fall into that category! Be patient and find a discounted price. And even if you can't? You still get what you pay for. Why suffer with cruddy shades?

These are high quality sunglasses but they weigh a lot. Much to heavy on the face to be comfortable.

Un look classico che mi riporta alla mia infanzia. Era tanto tempo che li avevo addocchiati e ora mi sono fatto un regalo.

Ce sont de bonnes lunettes , un peu retro , je conseille de prendre une grande taille ; 62 . Je possède les mêmes depuis 30 années , je n'ai pas voulu changer ., c"est tout dire . Bon achat .

Occhiali bellissimi, prezzo concorrenziale, forse leggermente larghi. Personalmente non conosco le misure degli occhiali da sole, il modello arrivato era un po' abbondante ma comunque ben utilizzabile dal destinatario del regalo!

Very nice sun glasses, what I like the most is that lenses are glass and not plastic, it wont scratch, if you take care them will last for many many years.

The glasses did not fit as expected, and so I seldom wear them.

Like the Style, Size is a little Large

I have an average size face, Shades were too large. They would slip off my face when I bent down. Took them by a local dealer and got them adjusted now they fit well. I still would like the lens size a little smaller but they are Outdoorsman II and they fully cover from ear to ear. I really wanted them because the tortious shell bar across the top that gives them a great stylish flair.

Been using Ray-Ban's for close to forty years, top stuff, have three pairs all up. Took these new ones to the optometrist for correct lenses, all good. Sad to see Bausch & Lomb sold Ray-Ban to some Italian mob who now control the world market.

Second Sight

I remember these when they were $15.95, and produced by Bausch and Lomb, in Baltimore, Maryland. The optical company that produced everything from microscopes to sunglasses floundered due to mismanagement, and now a pair of shades is $160.00. Go figure.
Well worth it? Damn straight. I'm a medical, and scientific photographer, (who loves the oxford comma), and can talk optics until your head falls off. Buy these, treat them right, and never look back. Adios!

Gute Brille, keine Frage. Aber Klassiker? Leider nicht...

Die originalen Modelle "Outdoorsman", Aviator" und "Shooter" waren tatsächlich mal Klassiker. Aber seit der Name RayBan nach Italien verkauft wurde, gibt es diese alte, traditionelle Geschichte nicht mehr. Die alten - die wirklichen Klassiker - haben im rechten Glas die Ätzung BL. Das steht für "Bausch und Lomb". Denn die haben die Brille entwickelt und gebaut. Und Glück für die, die eine solche alte Brille mit BL im Glas haben oder irgendwo ergattern können. Sollten Sie nicht weggeben...Seit der Name eben nach Italien verkauft wurde, steht im rechten Glas nur noch RB. Eben für "RayBan". Nix mehr Klassiker.Nicht falsch verstehen - ich habe selber fünf von diesen Brillen zuhause. Unter anderem eine "echte" alte BL. Und die bleibt auch schön im Schrank :o) Die Brillen, die heute verkauft werden, sind gut, keine Frage. Gutes Gestell, gute Gläser - alles sehr gut gemacht. Eine gute Sonnenbrille, die mehr als gut aussieht, gut sitzt - wenn man sie sich von einem Optiker anpassen lässt - und ihr Geld wert ist. Ein Klassiker ist sie aber - leider - nicht. Einem Klassiker nachempfunden; das würde wohl am ehesten passen. Zum Ende hin aber noch eine persönliche Bitte... Wenn Ihnen meine Rezension gefallen und hoffentlich geholfen hat, nehmen Sie sich doch bitte noch die Zeit um auf "Hilfreich" zu klicken. They are authentic Ray-Bans just like described; I took them to Sunglass Hut to verify the authenticity. I tried them on at Sunglass Hut before ordering and purchased them here much cheaper. I am very happy with my purchase and would undeniably recommend buying these.

Everything seems authentic but,

Pretty good stuff, seemed authentic. Only thing that I was a little wary about were the unclear nosepads - not something you would regularly find on an authentic piece (you can zoom in and see). I'm currently looking into it but other than that, everything else's good.
