Best glasses I’ve ever owned hands down!!

After being a fan of Costa Del Mar most of my life, I got tired of replacing glasses almost every year due to quality issues. Decided I’d spend the extra money on a pair Maui Jim Southern Cross and I couldn’t be happier! Best glasses I’ve ever owned and hands down best lens quality. I work outside everyday and these things have held up to the test and though theses are expensive sunglasses I would say they’re worth every penny and I will only buy Maui Jim in the future!

Great for my large head - super durable

Love Maui Jims. When my Castles cracked (ugh) I decided to get an additional style that has a more substantial frame while I waited for the repair on the Castles.If you’re looking for durable, I definitely recommend Southern Cross which aren’t as delicate as the Castles. I have a big head, so sunglasses that look good are always a challenge and these are great. They also basically completely shield your eyes so it’s great for the UV/light protection.Plus they’re Italian frames. That counts!

Pricey but good

I spend 1/2 my time on the east coast and the other half in the Rockies at high elevation (about 7000'). These glasses are effective wherever I wear them...they are especially useful in the high altitude sun.The glasses are very expensive though. While somewhat durable they are not bulletproof and you need to be careful. They are pretty comfortable although in intense heat and humidity (on the east coast) they fog up sometimes. In fairness I chose a very full wrap style of glasses, you may have better luck with a model that has less of a wrap which may allow them to breath better.All that said, for 1/5 of the price you can get a fairly well made pair of Peppers and just replace them 'if' they ever get damaged.

Good pair of shades

I ordered the brown and the black and couldn't decide on which to keep. They are not as beefy as the Maui Jim's of old, but these cover my eyes and are recognized by the Skin Cancer Foundation. They are comfortable and they make everything look a bit more lustrous. The brown gives off a reddish tint, but the black is simply dark and more natural. I chose to keep the black pair to keep, even though both were very nice.
