have owned Maui's for 20 years. By far the best sunglasses anywhere. The lens does an excellent job of bringing the true colors out in whatever you are looking. Being on a boat will really bring out the best in Maui Jim's ability to reduce glare and bring out the true colors.

Clarity

Don't want polarized (can't read most radio dials, etc with polarized lenses). These give me what I want and the grey lens is great and the glass makes the clarity almost perfect. I ordered the largest size...maybe should have gone with the medium to stay up on my nose. Oh well, the sunglasses are wonderful.

Best polarized sunglasses ever!

I have been warring polarized sunglasses for at least 17 years and these are the best ones I have ever used. I live in a very sunny part of the country and these sunglasses increase visibility under very bright conditions. The style is nice and matted and they look good on me. I would highly recommend these sunglasses for everyday use.

I've owned 9 sets of Maui Jim sunglasses and currently have 5 pair in regular use. These are my 10th pair overall and were my instant favorite. I found the frames are light as expected, the lens are much brighter than the Medium Grey found in most MJ sunglasses, and the color of the frames (I got the matte green stripe) is subtle, it can almost pass for black at a distance, and only shows itself to be something else when you get closer. I've gotten more compliments on these glasses than all of the others, and as long as it's not extremely bright sunlight, I prefer the lighter tint of these amber/bronze lenses as the colors pop much more than with the grey. However, in bright sunlight (flying, boating, driving, skiing, etc.) the default medium grey lenses are noticeably better at glare reduction and better at reducing eye fatigue--however, these lenses seem clearer across a broader spectrum of ambient light/glare conditions than the grey (which is exactly what their specs and literature say they should do).

Clarity as advertised.

Great pair of sunglasses. Very light and clear...as advertised, great for golf and activities where clarity is valued. I realize however that for bright Texas summer days I'll probably need a pair with darker lens. So if there is a negative from my view (no fault of the manufacturer or the glasses themselves....more of the fact that I should have done more research) is that I still need a darker pair and these will not serve as my only pair of good sunglasses, as has been my m.o. In the past. Sadly they will be a lesser brand, because I can't yet justify $500 for sunglasses.
